Birth is one of life’s biggest experiences, and you deserve to approach it feeling prepared, supported, and confident.
At Gentle Wave Birthing, my 5-week HypnoBirthing® classes help you understand how your body works during labor, practice breathing and deep relaxation techniques, release fear and tension, and explore your birth options so you can make informed decisions.
Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth, you’ll gain practical tools and knowledge to help you and your birth partner feel more prepared for whatever your experience brings.
Next In-Person Series Starts November 6!
Curious About HypnoBirthing?
Not sure if these classes are right for you? Have questions about what you’ll learn or how the series works? I’d love to hear from you and help you decide if it’s a good fit for your family.
Birth Preparation Is About More Than Just Knowing What to Expect
You may have heard plenty of birth stories, received lots of advice, or spent hours researching what labor might be like.
But knowing about birth and feeling prepared for birth are two different things.
In our classes, we’ll explore the connection between your mind and body, how fear and tension can affect your experience, and ways to stay grounded and supported through labor.
You’ll have the opportunity to practice techniques, ask questions, explore your options, and discover what works best for you.

The goal isn’t to promise a certain type of birth or eliminate every unexpected moment.
It’s to help you feel prepared to navigate your birth with knowledge, confidence, and support.
Is HypnoBirthing® Right for You?

These classes may be a great fit if:
HypnoBirthing® isn’t just for people planning an unmedicated birth.
The knowledge and techniques you’ll learn can be valuable whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth, and whether or not you choose medical pain relief.
What You’ll Learn Over Five Weeks
Our five-week series combines childbirth education with practical tools you and your birth partner can use before and during labor.
Week 1: Building Confidence
Understand how your body works during birth, explore the connection between fear and tension, and begin learning how relaxation can support your experience.
Week 2: Preparing Your Mind & Body
Learn breathing and relaxation techniques, explore ways to release tension, and begin practicing the skills you’ll continue building throughout the course.
Week 3: Deepening Relaxation & Visualization
Build on your relaxation practice with visualization, breathing, and mindset techniques. Discover how to make these tools feel more familiar and natural.
Week 4: Understanding Labor & Your Options
Explore the stages of labor, comfort measures, movement and positioning, common interventions, and ways to communicate your preferences with your care team.
Week 5: Birth & the Fourth Trimester
Bring everything together as you prepare for birth, early bonding, infant feeding, and the transition into postpartum life.
By the end of the series, you’ll have more than information. You’ll have techniques you’ve practiced, questions you’ve explored, and a better understanding of how you and your partner can work together.
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Samantha! I’m a certified HypnoBirthing® educator, birth doula, and a mom who knows firsthand just how much of a difference birth preparation can make.
My passion for teaching HypnoBirthing comes from my own experiences. After two very different births, I experienced firsthand how profoundly HypnoBirthing could change the way I approached and experienced birth.
It opened my eyes to something I wish every expecting mother knew: birth doesn’t have to be something you fear or dread. It can be a beautiful, positive, and even an empowering experience.

So many women spend their pregnancies feeling anxious about labor, and I want to help change that. I want women to understand their bodies, feel confident in their abilities, and look forward to birth rather than spending months worrying about it.
As a doula, I also have the privilege of supporting women through labor, and one thing I’m especially passionate about is helping families feel informed and involved in their care. Birth doesn’t always unfold the way we envision, but I believe there’s so much value in having the knowledge and confidence to understand your options and make decisions that feel right for you along the way.
My hope is that every woman leaves my classes feeling excited for birth, confident in her choices, and prepared for whatever her journey may bring.
I’d love to be part of yours! 🤍
A More Personal Way to Prepare for Birth
Our classes are intentionally limited to six families, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where everyone has room to learn, participate, and connect.
Each class is 2.5 hours long, giving us time to explore important topics, practice relaxation techniques, involve birth partners, and answer questions without feeling rushed.
This isn’t five weeks of sitting through lectures.
It’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with your baby and birth partner, build practical skills, and feel more prepared for what’s ahead.

Is this only for unmedicated birth?
No. These tools support all birth preferences, including epidurals and cesarean births.
When is the best time to take the class?
The best time to take the class is between 18-35 weeks of pregnancy. The earlier the better as it will give you time to practice the techniques.
Can I take this if I’m planning a hospital birth?
Yes. The majority of families use these tools in hospital settings.
Is this class for first-time parents only?
No. Many families take it for subsequent births.
Can my partner attend?
Yes — the class is designed for both of you.
What if my partner can’t attend or I don’t have a birth partner?
HypnoBirthing is designed to be taken with a birth partner so you feel supported and prepared as a team during labor. However, if your partner isn’t able to attend—or you don’t have one—you can absolutely still take the class and benefit from it.
Many parents attend on their own and still feel more calm, confident, and prepared going into birth. If you do have someone who will be supporting you during labor (a friend, family member, or doula), they are always welcome to join you.
What if I miss a class?
Materials will be provided and we can schedule a catch-up session or conversation.
What is your refund policy?
Your registration secures one of a limited number of seats in this 5-week series. Because materials are ordered in advance and class sizes are intentionally small, deposits are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend after registering, you may request to transfer your enrollment to a future class series with advance notice. Transfers are subject to availability.
In the event of unexpected or sensitive circumstances related to your pregnancy, please reach out directly. I will always handle these situations with care and compassion on a case-by-case basis.
If I must cancel a class series for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or transfer option.
By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
What past students are saying
“I can honestly say taking Samantha’s class was the best thing I did regarding preparing for birth. I made it to 8cm naturally by listening to hypnosis and using the tools I learned in class. I 10/10 recommend this class to anyone interested in a natural, intuitive, sacred, and holistic birthing experience.”
